Honorary Membership is presented annually to a
friend of the University of Maryland who has provided outstanding
service to the university and the alumni association over a period

International Alumnus Award is presented annually
to a University of Maryland alumna/us who was born or lives outside
of the United States, and has distinguished himself/herself by providing
significant leadership to another country’s educational, cultural,
social, and/or economic development. View

Humanitarian Award is presented annually to an alumna/us of
the University of Maryland who has provided extraordinary service for the benefit

Outstanding Young Alumnus Award is presented annually
to a University of Maryland alumna/us not older than 35, who completed
his/her undergraduate degree within the last 10 years, and who has
distinguished himself/herself personally and professionally. Take

President's Distinguished Alumnus Award is presented annually to a University of Maryland alumna/us who has achieved national recognition for excellence in his/her profession or field. Tyser Gottwals Award combines the Abram Z. Gottwals Award presented first in 1965, and the Ralph J. Tyser Medallion presented first in 1992. College/School Distinguished Alumnus Awards are presented annually to University of Maryland alumni who have achieved recognition for excellence in their profession or field.
