Members enjoy on-site library borrowing privileges at University of Maryland College Park Libraries.
Members who are graduates of University of Maryland, College Park, have the opportunity to park for free on campus in Lot 4.
Parking permits are issued as a courtesy, at no cost to members who are
graduates of the University of Maryland, College Park and who personally
present their current valid alumni association membership cards at the Department
of Transportation Services (DOTS) Special Permit counter. This process
cannot be done by mail.
Alumni must be current dues-paying members of the University of Maryland Alumni
Association who are not students taking classes or employed as faculty/staff
members on campus. Permits are for the exclusive use of persons to whom they
are issued. Vehicles displaying these permits are not to be parked on campus
by relatives, friends or others who are affiliated with the university. When
alumni register for classes or assume employment with the University of Maryland,
they are required to return their FREE Alumni Permit and purchase a student
or faculty/staff permit/decal.
Alumni permits are valid in Lot 4, Monday-Friday, from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Overnight
parking is prohibited. Vehicles displaying a current permit/decal for parking
at the University of Maryland, College Park may have access to their assigned
area during most special events, as long as parking spaces are available in
that area. However, the campus recognizes that there may be a limited number
of major events each year that may preclude access to certain areas in assigned
lots or garages.
Members enjoy discounts towards the purchase of a Campus Recreation Center pass. They may also enjoy recreation center benefits for $7 a day by simply showing their membership card and a photo id. Enjoy state-of-the-art exercise equipment at the Campus Recreation Center and Ritchie Coliseum, including free weights and Cybex; world-class aquatic facilities; basketball, volleyball, squash and racquetball courts; and an outdoor pool. Plus, members receive discounts on non-credit wellness courses.
Members can take advantage of a five percent discount on University Bookstore purchases.
Members take $2 off tickets at Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.
Members have access to play golf at the University of Maryland Golf Course, a privately owned member-based club.
