The Maryland Alumni Association maintains and supports a network of Alumni Advocates across Maryland. These business and community leaders help raise awareness about the importance of higher education and promote the university's achievements and initiatives to elected officials. Alumni Advocates attend special programs in Annapolis during the General Assembly session, meet one-on-one with legislators and organize alumni-hosted legislative receptions around the state. On Tuesday, February 19, 2008, the University of Maryland will hold its tenth annual Terrapin Pride Day—our lobby day in Annapolis. We invite you to join hundreds of other Maryland supporters including alumni, students, faculty and staff as we rally on behalf of the campus and make our voices heard in Annapolis.
