Declared "decidedly, even exuberantly unconventional" by the Washington Post, the UMD Symphony Orchestra collaborated with designer Doug Fitch on a multi-dimensional setting of Stravinsky's Petrushka.

Dubbed the Petrushka Project, the performance involved puppetry, live videography, choreography of the orchestra itself.

Five years after its premiere at UMD, this multi-dimensional setting of Petrushka has been adapted for the New York Philharmonic and will premiere on June 27, 2013.
