May 31–June 6, 2010
The University of Maryland Alumni Association is a proud partner for the 2010 Melwood Prince George's County Open presented by Under Armour—Nationwide PGA Tour. The key goals of the Nationwide Tour are to provide economic impact for the local community and benefit charity. The Nationwide Tour is the official proving ground of the PGA TOUR. Founded, owned and operated by the PGA TOUR, the Nationwide Tour identifies those players who are ready to compete and win on golf's greatest stage. The Nationwide Tour features 29 tournaments played across the U.S. and five countries abroad. Much like the PGA TOUR, it has a diverse membership and a global television audience on the Golf Channel with players from 19 countries competing for $19 million in prize money. Our host charity, Melwood, is a 501c3 organization headquartered in Upper Marlboro, Maryland since 1963. Melwood trains, employs and supports over 2,100 people with disabilities each year throughout the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. | Attention Maryland Alumni Association Members: Be sure to stop by the alumni association booth during the tournament and present your membership card for a complimentary Terp Towel while supplies last. And save your ticket and show your membership card at the Golf Course June 6–Aug. 31, 2010 for a free bucket of balls! |
