My favorite UMD moment so far was...
discovering the incomparable program UMD offers pre-vet students. As I am currently enrolled in ANSC235, otherwise known as Lamb Watch, my most rewarding moment throughout my college career thus far was fundraising the money required to purchase one of my lambs, Franklin, and coordinating with a local animal sanctuary to ensure he lives a length and fulfilling life.

My fearless idea is…
an idea that makes people question your sanity only because they focus on the obstacles ahead of you rather than the potential gains.

Major: Masters of Computer Science

My favorite UMD moment so far was…
when the University of Maryland campus community raised over $1,000,000 for Children's National with Terp Thon. In 2017 I was a member of the Terp Thon Executive Board and after a full year of hard work, more than 3,000 students registered for Terp Thon, pledging to stand on their feet and dance For The Kids for 12 hours. At the end of the night, we unveiled our fundraising total: $1,001,394.26. It was the most incredible, heartwarming moment of my college career. All of our hard work had paid off, and the life-saving impact this money will have on the kids at Children's cannot be understated.

My favorite UMD alumnus is...
Jim Henson. He gave the world, and me personally, so much joy by stepping out of the box and following his dreams, even in the face of adversity. He represented the University of Maryland spirit at a time when innovation in the arts was not given the promotion that it is now.

MY FEARLESS IDEA IS...
to harness the power of online video storytelling to help mitigate stigmatizing views on mental health. I am currently merging theories of stigma, online communication, and storytelling to test series of online videos that can help modify people's attitudes toward mental health and counseling.

to be a partner at a large law firm. While studies show that women graduate from law school at the same percentages as men, they are greatly underrepresented in the highest positions in the top 200 law firms in the country.

MY FEARLESS IDEA IS...
to contribute to ending the cycle that is keeping big money in politics. I believe that, at its root, this has been the cause for the extreme polarization we see today, even at a local level, that was nowhere near this blatant two decades ago.

Racing through the freezing weather to my dorm only to realize that I stepped onto the battlefield of an 100+ student snowball fight on McKeldin Mall. Even though I couldn’t feel my limbs, I joined a snow-army of strangers and we laughed until the sun went down.
