Pride Week: Terp Tykes Reading Corner "Rainbow: A First Book of Pride" with Dr. Michael Genhart, MA '87 & PhD. '89 (11AM ET)
Take a break from teleworking, gather your Terp Tykes, and join Terp author, Dr. Michael Genhart, MA '87 & PhD. '89, as he reads Rainbow: A First Book of Pride on June 23, 2020 at 8:00AM PT/11AM ET.
Rainbow: A First Book of Pride links rainbows (who doesn't love seeing a rainbow?!) to the rainbow flag (which we see throughout the world) and to rainbow families. LGBTQ+ families with two moms, two dads, one mom or dad, transgender parents, and parents of color are everywhere! The flag is a celebration of pride during LGBTQ+ Pride Month especially, but it's also an invitation to feel proud of who you are and proud of your family all year long. Rainbow is a book for ALL families who stand up for inclusion, equality, and positivity.
There will be time for questions from the audience and a brief chat with Dr. Genhart on the lessons learned following the reading. If you'd like to read along at home, Dr. Genhart recommends you purchase Rainbow: A First Book of Pride from his website or from your local indie bookstore.
Free to attend.
