Trish Povlitz '90 has over 20 years of progressive human resources experience with building and driving complex HR strategies and programs across large global organizations such as Accenture and PricewaterhouseCoopers, and more hands-on operational experience with smaller domestic companies, including not-for-profit organizations. Trish has broad and deep HR generalist experience that started in recruiting and she is now the Regional HR Lead for a British railway consulting firm. Trish was one of Accenture's corporate advisors for over 9 years, working with UMD undergraduates in the Smith School of Business and leading résumé-writing workshops and running mock interview sessions. She also gives presentations at Anne Arundel County High Schools on professionalism, résumé writing, and interviewing. Having started and led several advisory groups and initiatives to optimize inclusion and development for women, minorities and working parents, Trish has been a passionate champion for diversity, inclusion and diffusing unconscious bias at all levels. On a more personal note, Trish has been married for over 23 years and has 2 children - a son going into his junior year at UMD and a daughter starting her freshman year at GA Tech this Fall. Trish loves movies, sports, travel, and culture but thrives most on family, friends, humor, mutual respect and assuming good intent.
