Annapolis: Do Good Service Project
As part of the University of Maryland's Do Good Month, the Annapolis Chapter of the Alumni Association will be volunteering at Sandy Point State Park on April 22nd at 9 am. April 22nd is Earth Day and has been celebrated since 1970, and we hope you will join us to do our part to support the environment. We will be performing general clean up, gardening, basic plant removal, as well as some trail work.
Sandy Point* is located at 1100 East College Parkway Annapolis, MD 21409. Located along the northwestern shore of the Chesapeake, the park provides beaches, fishing, crabbing, boating, hiking, youth programs, areas of historical interest, and wildlife viewing. Hopefully it can also serve as your location for taking part in Earth Day.
*Upon entering Sandy Point, follow signs to the South Beach Tower Lot, near the water tower. From the tollgate entrance road into the park, drive to the circle, then about 1/4 of the way around the circle, it will be the parking lot on the right.
