Join the Prince George's County Alumni Network as we partner with United Communities Against Poverty(UCAP) to provide books for children who reside at Shepherds Cove Homeless Shelter in Capital Heights, Md , a part of the constituency served by our Terp alum, State Delegate , Jazz Lewis `11. Shepherds Cove provides emergency shelter, food, clothing and counseling services for women and children without homes and in need of these services. The need for books for children age 10-15 is great especially during the Covid-19 virtual school environment.

The Terp community can make the benefits of reading accessible to these underserved children by donating new books to the Children’s Library.

We are asking Terp Alumni to purchase age appropriate books between Feb. 14- March 30 for boys and girls on Amazon, Walmart or Target and schedule delivery to :
