Holly DeArmond, MBA ’17, Managing Director, Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship and Joe Bailey, Associate Research Professor & QUEST Executive Director, will lead a discussion with University of Maryland Terps David Quattrone, MBA ‘05, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Cvent and Anuja Sonalker, Ph.D. ’07, Founder and CEO of STEER Tech.

David Quattrone, MBA '05
Co-founder, Chief Technology Officer CVent

David has been with Cvent since the company's founding, bringing a wealth of expertise in designing and developing large-scale Internet applications. David designed and supervised the development of Cvent's original beta product as well as all of Cvent's subsequent product releases, upgrades and redesigns.

Prior to co-founding Cvent, David worked at First Consulting Group, a leading provider of information-based consulting, integration, and management services. There, David specialized in large-scale custom Internet/Intranet application design and development. David's clients included BlueCross/BlueShield Association, United States Postal Service, and MCI. He was also a Consultant with E.J. Bell Systems, a software integration and application development firm, where he helped found the company's Internet/Intranet development practice. Prior to E.J. Bell Systems, David co-founded Network Resources Group, a New York based firm specializing in Internet software integration and application development. At Network Resources Group, David created the Online Gaming Review, an online publication subsequently acquired by Air Age publishing.

Anuja Sonalker, Ph.D. '07
Founder and CEO of STEER Tech

Dr. Anuja Sonalker is the founder and CEO of STEER Tech. STEER is focused on developing secure self-driving technologies that will massively enable situationally aware, cyber robust automated driving applications. Dr. Sonalker brings experience from both the automotive industry and cybersecurity sector. Prior to STEER, Dr. Sonalker headed the Automotive Security Group in the Cyber Innovation Unit at Battelle where she led advanced research in vehicular environments and transition to market strategies before moving onto TowerSec, an automotive cybersecurity company where she was V.P of Engineering and Operations. During her career, Dr. Sonalker has established collaborative research efforts and strategic partnerships, provided project management, and helped set the strategic direction for the commercialization of technology. Dr. Sonalker is currently the Vice-Chair of the SAE Vehicle Cybersecurity Systems Engineering Committee and Co-Chair of the ISO-SAE joint International standard on Automotive Cybersecurity Framework. Dr. Sonalker also serves on the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Authority of Howard County, Maryland. She holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park.
