The College of Behavioral and Social Sciences Alumni Chapter Board invites you to attend Becoming the Solution. At this event, alumni will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and tools to 'Become the Solution' in their respective careers. Each participant will be invited to take a professional headshot to spruce up their Linkedin profile, receive styling tips from alum Anthony Johnson '10, owner of Magnepels, while also receiving practical career guidance on interview techniques, transitioning careers, upward mobility, and much more from our career expert Ms. Lakeisha Mathews, owner of Right Resumes & Career Coaching, LLC.

Gain insight into effective professional attire; all while giving back to our local community through a clothing drive for A Wider Circle. Please bring professional attire in good condition that you'd like to donate to A Wider Circle, an organization that empowers those in need the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty and enter the work force equipped for success.

Come join us as we are Becoming the Solution to the world's greatest challenges through empowerment and philanthropy. Light breakfast will be provided.

About the career presenter:
Lakeisha Mathews is Director of the Career and Professional Development Center at the University of Baltimore. She formally served as Associate Director of Career Services at the University of Maryland University College and as Assistant Director for Alumni & Graduate Students at the Loyola University Maryland Career Center.

Lakeisha is also the owner of a career coaching business called Right Resumes & Career Coaching, LLC which she launched in 2012. Right Resumes & Career Coaching serves entry-level and mid-career professionals in the DC Metro area and specializes in resume writing, career planning and strategy and professional development seminars.

Lakeisha is a published authors and thought leader in the field of career services. In 2016, Lakeisha co-authored a chapter in the book Find Your Fit, published by the Association of Talent Development. She is currently serving as the Trustee for Higher Education Career Counselors & Educators for the National Career Development Association, the largest career development association in the world. In 2011, she served as president of the Maryland Career Development Association. She is also a board member for our newly formed Terp Entrepreneur Network!

Lakeisha is a sought after speaker and webinar presenter for large and small audiences. She frequently conducts dining etiquette training and workshops on resumes development in the Baltimore Metro Area. Possessing a dynamic presentation style, filled with wisdom and wit, Lakeisha's audiences report being inspired and encouraged after attending her sessions.
