Do Good: Food for Others Power Pack Service Event (11am - 1pm)
Join the University Maryland’s Northern Virginia Alumni Network, Smith School Alumni Network and fellow Big 10 alumni for a Power Pack volunteer event on Sunday, April 28. Last year, we had 100+ Terps, family and friends help out to benefit Food for Others.

To assist families who rely on Food for Other's support, we will be collecting BOTH monetary donations and donations of non-perishable food items listed below. so that we may assemble snack packs for children in need. All are welcome to join this event. Youth can receive community service hours!

Connect with Terps at Settle Down Easy Brewery (1pm - 2:30pm)

New this year, join fellow Terps, Big Ten alumni, family and friends for a fun afternoon at a new brewery, Settle Down Easy. Enjoy a wonderful afternoon supporting another local homegrown business, aligned with the Network’s vision to support local businesses. This weekend only, they will also be serving wine as part of charity to support Shootout for Soldiers during an Oyster Festival Settle Down Easy is hosting on 4/26 and 4/27. This venue is Family Friendly with board games for additional entertainment.

  • When: Sunday, April 28 after the Food for Others Service event
  • Time: 1 – 2:30 p.m.
  • Why: Connect with connections made at the Food for Others Service event, support a local business, and enjoy delicious beverages and food from El Tio.

Register to select items to purchase and bring with you on April 28. A suggested minimum donation of $10 will also help defray the cost to the Alumni Network in  purchasing items and drinks to fill the 300+ Power Packs. Donations are not required for children under 13 years old. Youth can receive community service hours.
