Join the Alumni Association for a comprehensive overview of the admissions process at the University of Maryland. These informative sessions will include presentations from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Office of Student Financial Aid. You will walk away with information on what to do in middle school and high school to be a competitive applicant and how to apply to the University of Maryland using the Coalition Application. Additionally, there will be a chance to learn about the many academic programs UMD has to offer by hearing directly from different schools & colleges, and you will get to learn about the UMD experience from students and family members like you.

Hear from Maggie Doran '16 from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as she discusses what to do in middle school and high school to be a competitive college applicant. She will also walk through how to apply to the University of Maryland using the Common Application and/or the Coalition Application. Maggie will offer tips on how to stand out on your application and walk through the lastest updates to the UMD admissions process.

Hear from Malina Heng '06 from the Office of Student Financial Aid to learn how to pay for your student's future education at the University of Maryland. Malina will cover financial aid terminology and types of aid, the financial aid rewarding cycle, and information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

This session will start with an overview about the many academic programs UMD has to offer. Participants will then be able to choose their own breakout rooms and talk with representatives from 10 different schools and colleges.
