Many consider Len Bias, who wore the number 34, as the best basketball player in Maryland history. Thirty-five years after the tragic death of Bias, author and former Terps two-sport athlete Dave Ungrady `81 explains the rippling ramifications of the star basketball player’s death on the University of Maryland, his friends and family, the NBA and society as a whole.

Dave's company, GoGrady Media has begun production on a podcast series on Len's legacy, as part of its 34+1 Campaign, which promotes effective decision making skills to teenagers and young adults.

Join the Howard County Terps and the University of Maryland Black Alumni Network (UMBA) for an interactive discussion on the life of Len Bias. We will also discuss athletics history at Maryland and an update on the podcast. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to offer their most fond memories of Len during the call.

Dave is the author of Born Ready: The Mixed Legacy of Len Bias, and two other books on athletics history at Maryland.
