Meet the Panelists
Christina Carr
 `00 - Head of Global PMO, Global Business Marketing - Facebook
Christina Carr '00 earned her BA in Government in Politics from UMD and went on to receive her MA in International Relations in 2003 from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. She has over 15 years of project management and creative ops experience across the tech space. As the Head of Global PMO for Global Business Marketing at Facebook, Christina works with creative, media, and digital teams to produce everything from global campaigns to sales enablement materials. Prior to Facebook, Christina has helped shape creative ops and project management teams across eComm, B2B tech, and online education industry leaders.

Emily Rhodes Fritz `13 -  Senior User Experience Researcher - Google
Emily Rhodes Fritz '13 earned her BA in English Language and Literature from UMD and went on to receive her MS in Interaction Design and Information Architecture from the University of Baltimore.  As a Senior User Experience Researcher at Google she conducts research around making employee-facing tools more accessible and usable for people with disabilities. While an undergrad at UMD, Emily had the opportunity to work as a research assistant with the Human-Computer Interaction Lab in the iSchool which sparked her interest in her current field.


Julia Yan `11 - Head of Growth - TikTok
Julia Yan '11 earned her BS in Finance and Accounting from UMD. She currently serves as the Head of Growth at TikTok, the fast-growing, short-form mobile video app owned by Beijing-based startup ByteDance. Prior to joining TikTok, she worked for Amazon and was part of the product marketing efforts for the Amazon Echo speaker. Before Amazon, Yan was a consultant for Deloitte and PwC, respectively.

Lade Gbolade `21 - Moderator
Lade Gbolade '21 is a University of Maryland student majoring in Cell Biology and Genetics. She has been involved on campus as a Teaching Assistant, Orientation Advisor, and as a member of the Student Alumni Leadership Council.
