Southern Maryland
Piscataway National Park
3400 Bryan Point Road

The university continues to actively monitor the novel coronavirus ("COVID-19") outbreak and provide regular updates to our community. We all play a role in preventing the spread of COVID-19, and we are taking measures to better protect all Terps. As a result, this event is canceled and may be postponed to a later date.

Virtual programs including webinars, online book clubs, and other online programs will continue as planned.

Join the Southern Maryland Terps for our April Do Good Service Month event as we help clean up the Potomac River during the 32nd Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup on April 18.
Last year, more than 9,000 volunteers pulled more than 300,000 pounds of trash out of the Potomac River and its tributaries and feeder creeks.  Help us keep the Potomac free of litter so this national treasure can remain a great place to hike, bike, paddle, and fish.
We will be volunteering at two locations from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.:

Piscataway National Park
3400 Bryan Point Road
Accokeek, MD 20607
Newtowne Neck State Park
Newtowne Neck Rd
Leonardtown, MD 20650
All ages are welcome.  Bags and gloves will be provided.  Come prepared to get muddy!
Volunteers will get Terps Do Good T-shirts.
