Connect with Fellow Terps Through the New Online Alumni Directory

Are you interested in finding other Terps in your area or industry? Or reconnecting with an old college friend? With our new alumni directory, you will be able to do just that.

Create an account, decide how much information to share about yourself and locate former classmates, roommates, teammates and friends.

Connect with fellow Terps by creating your new alumni profile. Once you create an account, you can update your personal information, select the information you would like to share publicly and start connecting with Terps everywhere.

Please note, this is a new directory and is replacing our old platform. Therefore we ask all constituents to create a new account. Your new account will be verified within two business days.

1. How do I view the alumni directory?

Sign up and create an online profile. After you have created your account and your account has been verified (within two business days) you can log in at any time to view the directory.

2. Who will be able to search for me?

The alumni directory is only accessible by other University of Maryland alumni or Alumni Association members who have created an account and logged into the secure directory

3. What information will be shared?

The directory automatically shares the first name, last name, class year(s), employer and job title for all alumni of the University of Maryland College Park based on university records. Any additional information that you decide to share when setting up your account will be shared at your discretion.

4. How can I contact people? How can they contact me?

Registered users can send individual email messages to individual alumni through the secure directory system. When setting up your account you can select if you’d like to be contactable by others or not. When a user sends you a message through the system you will receive a notification at the email address you provided at registration - your email address will not be visible to the sender unless you opted to share your email when setting up your preferences. If you respond to an email from your personal email account, your email account will then be known to the sender. Some individuals will be non-contactable by default based on previously assigned preferences.
Solicitations, spam and other unseemly behavior are grounds for removal of access.

5. What if I don’t want to be listed?

The online directory will automatically list the first name, last name, class year(s), employer and job title for all alumni of the University of Maryland College Park based on university records. If you want to be removed from the directory, please email

6. How can I update my communication preferences?

The Alumni Directory is the official tool for alumni to submit updates to your alumni profile. This includes your contact information, employment information, communications preferences and email forwarding service. Information submitted via the Directory will be used to ensure we are sending you the communications you want to hear.

7. What is the email forwarding service?

As a Terp alum, you can create a vanity email address. This email address is a reflector that you can forward to an email address of your choice (i.e. gmail, yahoo, etc.). When you create a terpalum email address, it does not automatically become your preferred email for university communication; to do that, please use the Edit Your Profile option and update your Preferred Email.
