2023 Alumni Survey Results

We asked, and you answered. Thank you to those who participated in our 2023 alumni survey. By providing valuable feedback, the University of Maryland Alumni Association will continue to help Terps move fearlessly forward in advancing their personal and professional lives, while providing an outlet to give back and Do Good. See the highlights here, and read on to learn more about maximizing your relationship with the Alumni Association.

In total, more than 9,600 Terps participated in this year’s annual survey and the common theme was our alums’ pride in being a Terp. Regardless of age, Terp pride is felt by a whopping 75% of respondents.

Many Terps demonstrate their pride by becoming members of the Alumni Association. Both current members and non-members agreed that while there are many reasons to become an Alumni Association member, free Maryland swag, local and national discounts, and continuing with our Terp tradition of giving back by contributing to student scholarships are at the top of the list. 

Speaking of giving back, over half of the alum respondents said they plan to include UMD in their charitable giving. Terps who want to give back in other ways can always check out our volunteer opportunities and sign up for volunteer alerts today. 

Through Alumni Association programs and events you can become the best version of yourself while improving the success of fellow Terps. However you want to grow, the University of Maryland Alumni Association has you covered.
