On March 7, 2020, more than 200 business-minded Terps gathered at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center for the inaugural EnTERPpreneur Conference. They were greeted with big ideas and little bottles of hand sanitizer, as a novel coronavirus began to spread across the U.S.

Jake Blackmon ‘21 is the owner of Smoketown Beer, established in 2015 by the Blackmon family. The original Smoketown Brewing is located in a remodeled, small-town fire station in Brunswick, MD.

Scott Plank '88: Investor, Convener, Innovator

Scott Plank ’88 was a partner in one of the best entrepreneurship stories to come out of the University of Maryland, overseeing Under Armour’s global supply chain and technology infrastructure, its retail expansion and the transformation of the Baltimore company’s physical presence during his 14 years as an executive there.
