Join us at Van Munching Hall for a night of great food, drink and networking, while hearing from guest lecturer and Smith grad, Robert (Bobby) Leach ‘04, Head of Product at MintEd, the destination to commemorate experiences with digital assets. 

Bobby will discuss:

  • Web3 principles and the differences between web1 and web2

  • Web3 concepts such as blockchain, smart contracts, and dApps (decentralized apps)

  • Basic use cases such as crypto currency, DeFi, and DAOs

  • Dive deep into into Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs), their history, when and why they went viral

  • NFT potential by examining industry trends across art, music, sports, and higher-ed

Guest Lecturer, Robert Leach '04

Robert Leach is a product leader and entrepreneur with over 18 years of experience creating digital products. He spent the first part of his career at a leading management and technology consulting firm before focusing full time on product development through CenterPunch, LLC, a product development lab he founded to create data-driven products including a top 40 mobile app. More recently, Robert founded Minted Technologies (gotminted.xyz) to help contribute to the next evolution of the Internet and web3.
