Annual Alumni Holiday Party

Join the University of Maryland Alumni Association at the National Portrait Gallery for the sixth Annual Alumni Holiday Party. Celebrate the holiday season with fellow alums while enjoying great food, beer, wine and a live DJ.

*Due to the ongoing government shutdown, our scheduled venue is currently closed. We are actively exploring alternative locations and will do everything possible to ensure this event proceeds as planned. However, if we are unable to secure a suitable replacement venue, or the shutdown continues past our event date, we may need to cancel the event. If we need to cancel, you will receive a full refund of your registration fee. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate this situation, and we will keep you informed with updates as soon as more information becomes available.

Registration will close at noon EST on Friday, December 5. Pre-registration is required, tickets will not be sold at the door. This event is for guests 21 and over. No walk-ins will be accepted; all attendees must be pre-registered.

Transportation & Parking

Via Metro: Take the Yellow, Green, or Red lines to the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro station. The Portrait Gallery is one block from both the 7th and 9th Street Metro exits.

If you choose to drive, there is limited street parking. The closest parking garages are 901 F Street NW and the Victim Building at 925 H Street NW, both just a 1-2 minute walk away.
Other close options include garages at 505 9th St. NW and 700 F St. NW (Techworld Garage). Handicapped parking is available at red-topped meters on the F, G, and 7th Street sides of the building.

Do not drink and drive—we encourage everyone to consider using public transportation or rideshare services. We will provide a discount UBER code to registered attendees 48 hours prior to the event.

Refund Policy

Ticket refunds are not available for this event. However, as a special benefit, Alumni Association members may receive a refund up to 10 days prior to the event date.
