The Office of Special Events is looking for a customer-centric, able to handle fast-paced environment, energetic alum who can assist with needs on football game days. Specific games include; Charlotte (9/9) UVA (9/15), Indiana (9/30), and Michigan (11/18) games.

In celebration of MLAW's 10th Anniversary this academic year, we are looking to host alumni serving in various law-oriented roles, either in public service (federal), private firms, or in the non-profit space, who are able to share their career experiences and highlight their pathways from UMD, to law school and beyond.

Smith School alumni will work with students and career coaches on a career outreach strategy. It's a one-time, 45-minute, virtual meeting throughout the fall 2023 semester.

Businesses engage with students and collaborate while building lasting relationships. Students enjoy the challenge and engagement in the opportunity to network with corporate individuals and hone their business acumen. Faculty facilitate meaningful connections and help students see the relevance of what they are learning.

Join fellow alums to serve as advocates for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources through assisting with recruiting, career services, and representing the college at events.
Undergrad Career Advising
Economics is matching successful alumni with undergraduates in our career preparation course. Opportunities for alumni include informational interviews, mock interviews, resume reviews, and/or mentorship opportunities.
Participate in Photoshoots for Membership
The Alumni Association has frequent opportunities for alums to be featured in marketing materials to showcase products for our alumni store and membership campaigns. You must be willing to come to campus for about an hour to participate.
Supporting Student Teachers and New Teachers
Currently, there is a nationwide teacher shortage that is placing stress on new educators. Volunteering to support student teachers and new teachers is one way of addressing this grand challenge. Alumni will be given a menu of volunteer opportunities to choose from. All opportunities will focus on preparing and supporting the next generation of K-12 educators through classroom visits, job search preparation, or sending notes of encouragement.
