Friday Five: Cheer on the Terps this Saturday!

Welcome to the Friday Five, a roundup of the best your Alumni Association and other UMD communities have to offer. From the latest events to fun facts, here are essentials in five categories for you to check out this weekend.

1. What's Happening

- Homecoming Tailgate and Beer Garden - Oct. 30 | 9:30 a.m. - Noon EDT

Join us for our annual Homecoming Beer Garden and Tailgate in Moxley Gardens at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center. Stroll in the garden and explore Terp-owned breweries while enjoying food, music, games and the festive atmosphere before heading into the stadium to watch your Terps take on the Indiana Hoosiers. Alumni Association members - make sure to preregister to receive your free food and drink voucher. Bringing your kids? Stop by our Testudo Tikes Zone in the Riggs Alumni Center for games and snacks. - Terp Summer Recap: Crab Feasts of 2021

"As we ease back on COVID-19 restrictions, our network leaders were eager to reconnect with alums in their region. Summer was the perfect time to kick things off, with our annual Crab Feasts and Barbeques hosted throughout the US. 3. A Little Fun

- Terp Carnival - Oct. 29 | 4:30-8:30 p.m. EDT

STAMP and the Division of Student Affairs kick off Homecoming weekend with music, a beer garden, games, prizes and more. Check out concession stations with all your favorite fair food, as well as a beer garden for Terps who are 21+. An exclusive 2021 Homecoming scarf will be given to the first 400 UMD students to come claim one. Coach Locksley and Teddy the UMPD comfort dog will all be at Terp Carnival—so you should be, too!
